Your Rating
  • Quartz composite consists of approx. 93% natural rock powder (quartz and granite) and approx. 7% synthetic resin as a binder and color pigments. The noble effects are achieved by adding small pieces of glass or mirror.
  • Production is based on EN 15285:2008-09 and 14617-16:2005-06; Quartz composite is lightfast and non-flammable (class A2).
  • Processing: Surface polished and non-porous (therefore hygienic and stain-resistant), otherwise sawn, edges chamfered.
  • Use for floor and wall surfaces inside; Due to the risk of deformation in high heat, not suitable as a fireplace and stove cladding and in saunas.
  • The subsoil must be firm, load-bearing and level; even out unevenness; roughen extremely dense and smooth substrates; prime mineral substrates; no primer is required for rigid foam support elements.
  • Check tiles/mosaics for dimensional accuracy and color variations before laying (slight variations are possible due to production); laid tiles are excluded from complaints.
  • Laying: with a laying mortar suitable for natural stone (white powder, hydraulically hardening quickly and polymer-modified, thus C2FT or C2FTE according to EN 12004); Carry out a mortar-tile compatibility test at least 24 hours before the planned laying, especially when laying on surfaces with underfloor heating.
  • Fill the back of the tiles with bedding mortar over the entire surface and then place them in the tooth adhesive bed, thus free of cavities using the buttering-floating method.
  • Lay with a joint width ≥ 3 mm due to permissible dimensional tolerances, possible subfloor movements and normal surface loads.
  • Grouting: with a grout mortar suitable for natural stone; avoid strong contrasts between tiles and grout color; Therefore, do not grout light tiles with dark and dark tiles with light grout, since joint mortar color pigments may penetrate the tile edges. Recommendation: Only use gray grout; in the case of colored pointing mortar, carry out a pointing test at least 24 hours before the planned pointing.
  • Natural deviations between sample(s), first delivery and subsequent delivery(s) are not objectionable; always lay a mixture of different packages/pallets so that the surface results in a normal, nuanced overall picture; Store cardboard-packed tiles in a dry place to avoid discolouration.
