Substrate preparation

The substrate must be solid, dry (cement screed 4%, anhydrite floor screed 0.5%, each measured with the CM device), clean and free of oils, grease and other residues. If necessary, remove them completely by sandblasting, brushing or shot-blasting (Blastrac). The largely even surface (if necessary, create the evenness using PCI Periplan or PCI Pericret or PCI Nanocret FC/R2/R3/R4) must not contain any nests, gaping cracks or burrs.

Prime substrates containing gypsum and gypsum plasterboard beforehand with undiluted PCI Gisogrund. Prime absorbent mineral substrates with PCI Gisogrund diluted 1 : 1 with water. dry, Prime screwed chipboard with PCI Wadian. The primers must have hardened before gluing PCI Sealing Strip Gray.

Application procedure

1. Lay out PCI sealing sheet gray and cut to size with a cutter knife or scissors.
2. Comb PCI Flexmörtel S1, PCI Nanolight or PCI Flexmörtel S1 Flot onto the prepared substrate using a 4 mm or 6 mm notched comb according to the rules of the art.
3. Insert and press on the PCI sealing membrane gray membranes within the open time. The butt joints of the strips must overlap by approx. 5 to 10 cm.
4. Glue the overlapping membranes with PCI Seccoral 1K/2K Rapid or PCI Pecitape Bond so that they are waterproof.
5. Seal corner joints and floor-wall connections with PCI Pecitape 120. Stick the PCI Pecitape onto the gray PCI sealing sheet and the wall connection using PCI Seccoral 1K/2K Rapid or PCI Pecitape Bond and press on.
6. After the thin-bed mortar has hardened, the top covering can be laid.

Elastic grouting

Movement and connection joints are elastically closed with PCI Silcoferm S for ceramic coverings and with PCI Carraferm for natural stone coverings.

Please note

• Do not use PCI sealing strip gray at substrate temperatures below + 5 °C and above + 25 °C
• The use of PCI Dichtbahn Grau in W3-I (very high water load) is not regulated in the standard. However, this can still be used as a "special solution" by agreement.
• In the case of moisture-sensitive enclosing components, the seal must also be in place under and behind the shower or applied to bathtubs, or the bathtub sealing tape PCI Pecitape WDB can be used.
• Continuous, mobile cracks in screeds or concrete surfaces must be firmly bonded and needled with PCI Apogel F; Hairline cracks do not require any special treatment.
• Shelf life: at least 24 months; Store dry, not permanently above + 30 °C.
